Race Day Tips

We want your race day to run as smoothly as possible, so here are a few helpful tips to keep things stress-free from start to finish.

Shuttle Bus, Drop Off, Bib Pickup & Drop Bags

Race parking

Our FREE shuttle buses (THANK YOU BUTLER BUS drivers!) will transport our athletes from Race Parking (Quechee, VT – near the finish area) to the race start in Pomfret, VT at Saskadena Six Ski Area.

Getting to the Start-Personal Vehicle Drop Off

You may also be dropped off directly at Saskadena Six Ski Area:

• Drop-off begins at 6:00 AM
• Final drop-off time: 7:15 AM (no exceptions)

To keep traffic flowing smoothly:

• Volunteers from Pomfret/Teago Volunteer Fire Fighters will assist with traffic control
• Drivers must remain in their vehicles at all times-quick “goodbyes” only please.

Once you arrive at the start area-Bib Pick Up:

• Head to the Bib Pickup Tent
• Volunteers from Woodstock Ski Runners will provide your chipped race bib
• Be ready to show a valid ID (a photo on your phone works great!)

Drop Bags

If you’re bringing a drop bag:

• Drop it off with volunteers from Hartford Drama Club
• Look for the Truck near the Bib Pick Up Tent
• Bags will be transported to the finish line for you
• All drop bags must be loaded by 7:45 AM

Important:

• Clearly label your bag with your LAST NAME
• Bags, tape and markers provided but if you pack ahead in a unique bag-you’ll find it quicker at the finish line
• Bags will be sorted alphabetically, so make sure your label is easy to read

After the Race

Any clothing or personal items left along the course will be collected and returned to the finish line after the course has been cleared, typically about 2 PM. Items will be dropped near the dumpsters across from the BIG TENT.

Plan ahead, arrive early, and you’ll set yourself up for a great race experience.
