Spectator Parking (Finish Line – Dewey Mills Fields)
- Traffic Flow at Race Parking Area
- Runner Parking to catch the free shuttle buses 5:00–7:30 AM: Dewey Mills Rd is one-way downhill into parking
- Spectator Parking Open from 8:00-10:00
- 10:30 AM–noon: One-way reverses uphill toward Route 4
- Two exit routes may be available depending on field conditions
- Access route: From US Route 4 → Dewey Mills Rd (follow signage/volunteers)
- Hard cutoff: You must be in the lot by 10:00 AM
- After 10:00 AM:
- No entry to race parking
- Dewey Mills Rd closes to downhill traffic
If you want to see runners at the finish line, you must already be parked before 10 AM
Road & Access Restrictions
- NO parking anywhere on US Route 4
- Includes business lots + Visitor Center
- No pedestrian traffic on Dewey Mills Rd
- 5:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Expect significant traffic delays (US Route 4 / Quechee Gorge Bridge construction)
- US Route 4 remains open, but expect stop-and-go traffic
Finish Line Viewing Rules (Quechee)
- Spectators must stay behind fencing only
- Do not interfere with runners
- Keep area clean (“pack it in, pack it out” style expectation)
Woodstock Viewing Option (Earlier in the morning)
If you want to see runners in Woodstock before the finish:
- Park by 7:30 AM (meter parking downtown)
- Best viewing spots:
- Iron Bridge (Elm St / River St loop)-you may see your runner twice
- Middle Bridge / Woodstock Green area
- You must leave Woodstock by ~9:00 AM if you still want to reach finish-line parking before it closes at 10:00 AM
Key Timing to Remember
- 7:30 AM: Last safe parking time in Woodstock
- 8:00–10:00 AM: Finish line parking open
- 10:00 AM sharp: Parking closes / no entry
- 12:30 PM: Dewey Mills Rd pedestrian restriction ends
Big Picture Advice
- Decide early: Woodstock viewing OR finish line
- Finish line viewing requires early arrival and no delays
- Build in extra time (60+ minutes travel possible) due to congestion and construction
